Quilter's Public Service Annoucement: Bye Bye Google Reader

This is a Quilter's Public Service Annoucement!
Have you heard! I hadn't until I logged in last night in an attempt to get caught up on my blog reading. Well if you haven't heard yet, it was announced yesterday that Google Reader will cease to exist on July 1st. If you want to read about the announcement yourself, the info is all over the place on the web.

Many in the online world have already posted articles discussing the options now available and I'm sure there will be lots more posted in the coming days. As soon as I get a handle on which one I feel is the best choice for me, I'm going to morph everything over. I for one am not waiting for July 1st.

Will I miss Google Reader. Yes..a bit. But I won't miss all the aggravation that it has given me and I truly hope that which ever reader I end up using in the future is much better in the long run. This announcement may turn out to be a very good thing in the end.

8 of you added your own colorful comments:

  1. Ugh. Change. But like you said, Michelle, it might be much better in the long run.

  5. Saw it this morning. Also saw instructions on how to move info when you are ready. I use Feeddler in my iOad and like it! That is listed as a choice in one of the articles I read this morning. Here we go!
