Because it pains me to see that so many people are still No Reply Bloggers but probably have no idea that they are, I'm posting here the list of people who entered my Sew Mama Sew Giveaway, are NRBs and who didn't include their email address so they could be contacted in case they won.

And just as a bit of additional info, upon doing a little research into each of these names, I discovered that the majority of them are Google+ users and I didn't see anyplace on their Google+ profile pages to connect to their email address. 

If you are one of the folks listed here, you might seriously want to correct the situation by either fixing your NRB status or remember to include your email address in your comments. Sorry I don't use Google+ so I have no idea how to solve that problem.You are likely missing out on the chance to win each of the giveaways that you enter.

One of the participants in the Kate Spain Charm Swap happened to mention that she lives in one of the areas recently ravaged by tornadoes. Her local quilt shop, Peddler's Way Quilt Co, is taking donations to be distributed to the victims.

They are accepting completed quilts (with labels please), pillowcases, new pillows, afghans, scarves, hats and gloves. All sizes are appreciated. This is a picture from a week ago that they posted in their Facebook page of the donations they have received so far.

So if you have some quilts or any of the other requested items that you are able to donate, I know they'd be happy to receive them. Unfortunately I don't have any quilts ready to go but I'm definitely going to whip up some pillowcases and pile in some hats and gloves in the box to send their way.

I've been using both Feedly and Bloglovin for the past month and a half, thoroughly testing each of them out  and now it is time to announce my final decision. The winner for me is:

Feedly

Bloglovin just doesn't cut it for me. There are too many features lacking that Feedly offers. I prefer the way I can choose how much of the feed I want to see and the organizational tools in Feedly. It is great to be able to either read the oldest posts first or the newest posts, whichever I choose.

My biggest beef with Bloglovin has been the fact that over the weeks that I tested it, every time I clicked on the blog post title to go directly to the blog itself so that I could post a comment, the actual blog would only load partially, mostly just the header plus a little more. It would take multiple tries of clicking through to the blog before it would fully open. Very aggravating in my opinion. I had enough problems with Google Reader and I certainly don't want to use another reader that gives me constant indigestion. I never had any of these types of problems with Feedly. In fact I haven't had any problems with Feedly at all.

Feedly seems to be continuously working around the clock to improve their features and services and I'll be interested to see what new things become available in the coming months. 

If you use Bloglovin, don't worry, you can still follow me through that reader. I just won't be using it to read blogs myself. You can choose to use any reader you wish. If you haven't already moved your Google Reader feeds to another reader, now is the time. The deadline is fast looming and on Monday Google Reader will be no more. The import into either Feedly or Bloglovin is really easy so before you seriously regret waiting any longer, sign up with one of them today and be able to continue reading all your favorite quilting blogs with no interruptions.

Who doesn't love giveaways? I sure do and I'm betting that all of you do too.

Well Christa of Christa Quilts announced today that she is going to host a whole year of weekly giveaways on her site. Wow! That is fantastic and super generous of her. I didn't know about Christa's great shop until just recently and to be totally honest, I haven't bought anything from her YET. With my upcoming big expenditure for my long arm, I've been behaving but there are some new lines coming out soon that are on my "Must Own" list so you know that I won't be behaving for much longer.

My most recent giveaway for reaching 300 followers highlighted a sad trend that I've seen a few times on my other giveaways and got me thinking about the giveaways that I enter and most likely what other giveaway hosts experience. For that particular giveaway, I had 51 comments posted...2 were from my sister Tina who didn't want to be entered into the drawing especially since she was part of the reason for the post in the 1st place, 1 comment was from an adoption friend who found this blog and who doesn't sew and a whopping 6 commenters weren't followers of my blog. Yes I most certainly do check!

Although they posted nice comments, since the giveaway was to celebrate my reaching the 300 followers milestone, it was open to only those that actually follow. Sadly all 6 of those commenters weren't eligible to be entered into the drawing.

That bring me to the reason for this post.

Have you heard! I hadn't until I logged in last night in an attempt to get caught up on my blog reading. Well if you haven't heard yet, it was announced yesterday that Google Reader will cease to exist on July 1st. If you want to read about the announcement yourself, the info is all over the place on the web.

Many in the online world have already posted articles discussing the options now available and I'm sure there will be lots more posted in the coming days. As soon as I get a handle on which one I feel is the best choice for me, I'm going to morph everything over. I for one am not waiting for July 1st.

Will I miss Google Reader. Yes..a bit. But I won't miss all the aggravation that it has given me and I truly hope that which ever reader I end up using in the future is much better in the long run. This announcement may turn out to be a very good thing in the end.

I've had a bunch of comments to my Wicked Blog Hop post from folks that are No Reply Bloggers and considering the fact that a blogging friend herself recently didn't realize that she too was in this same predicament, I thought I'd list here those of you that are NRBs so that you can correct it. Then click on "Blogger Profile".

Next click "Edit Profile",

Then check the box that says "share my email address". Make sure you have a valid email address showing in the box under "Identity".

Last scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Save Profile".
