The correct answer is....

Everyone had great guesses as to what all of this fabric is for. But only 7 of those guesses are actually correct.
Thankfully for me (and my wallet) the cost of all this fabric loveliness is being shared by 43 families.

For those of you that guessed that these fabrics will be used for this year's Teacher Quilt Project, the end of school year gift quilts, you are right! I couldn't imagine not doing this again this year and when I proposed the idea to the parents of the kids in the classes, they immediately said Yes.

After the intense but very stressful teacher quilt project last year, I decided that this year's project would be different. I needed something that would be faster to complete and a lot easier on me. This time around I chose the patterns and I chose all the fabrics.

The Little Black Dress layer cake and coordinating yardage will be turned into my version of Easy as Pie from Moda Bakeshop.
The Grande Finale jelly roll, charm pack and matching yardage will become a non-baby version of Jungle Path, again from Moda Bakeshop.
Next is the Coming Home jelly roll and yardage. The pattern I'm using for this one is Skinny Dip by Me and My Sister Designs, published in QUILT magazine but there isn't an issue date on the bottom of the pages so I can't tell you which issue it is from.
Last but not least the Flora charm packs and all this yardage will be turned into I Spy Ten Little Things, once again from the Moda Bakeshop.
Since all of these quilts need to be complete and ready to be given by the 2nd week of June which is just over 3 months away, it just wasn't possible to this the same way as I did it last year, with quilts that I designed myself and fabrics chosen by each family.  Plus now the number of students won't affect the design of the quilts at all like it did last time.

Construction is starting this weekend on the 1st quilt and I'll definitely be sharing my progress along the way. The parents that were part of this project last year are excited to see what I'm creating this time around. It also goes without saying that I will again be very happy to give the teachers keepsake quilts that will both truly show them how much we value all their hard work and dedication plus they will forever be a reminder to them of our children and their wonderful year together.

So now all that is left to do is to announce the winner of the giveaway. I plugged in the number of correct comments into Mr. Random and the number he chose is:

#4 who based on the correct commenters is:

My guess would be teacher gifts! It is halfway through the year and time to start thinking of those!

Congratulations Megan! I have emailed you and since I already have your address, your package will be on its way to you speedy quick. Thank you to everyone that played along.
