I'm sure like me, most of you don't have all day long available to read blogs. At best I get to check into what others are up to about every other day. So I try hard not to get too far behind. If I do, I actually have to just glance through the posts in order to not get further behind.
Today I actually got almost caught up. I had about 25 unread posts on just 3 blogs. When I just logged back in it said I had 126 unread posts! What in the world! Some blogs had more than 10 days of posts that never showed up before now. This isn't the 1st time that Google Reader didn't update my list in a timely manner and it is driving me nuts! Anyone else?
Not only am I getting backed up when this happens but I am missing out on some great giveaways. And that pisses me off. Any clue to what they are doing or not doing that is causing this? I really like Google Reader but if this continues I may have to search for another way to keep up with blog reading.
If anyone has any ideas on what the problem is and how to fix it, I'd be most grateful.

I am new to blogging and even newer to reader only been using it for a week or 2 (ya that 200+ follows started to kill me other wise trying to follow them) The thing that bugs me is some times it wont load the pictures correctly or at all.

I so know what you mean... every so often it tells me I am following 0 blogs .. THEN it downloads LOADS!! I did send them (a few!) messages ... the answer? we are working on it ! ALSO WHAT is going on with the word verification? ggggg! AH! I feel better now ... thank you xx
