Stunning Stitchin Sunday

I'm a much happier camper recently as I've actually gotten in a bit of sewing time. I know that if I go too long of a stretch without getting some "me" sewing time, I start to become Cranky Mom, and no one likes when that happens.

I've completed 9 more blocks for my City Sampler and I've shared them on Instagram but I'll wait until March's link up party to show them off here.  Maybe I'll get a few more done before that too.  Here's hoping.
On one evening this past week and then again for a chunk of hours on Friday, I did some semi-major reorganizing of my studio and I feel a lot calmer and ready to work now.   After the last of the bits were put in their proper place, I really wasn't in the mood to sew more Halloween blocks so instead I decided to whip up something with a spring-ish feel to it.  Here is a sneak peak.  I'm using Kate Spain's Paradiso.
My inspector picked an inconvenient time to decide to do his "job".
That is as far as I got before I quit for the evening.  Backing and maybe quilting is on tap for this morning.

There has also been some really beautiful work shared in quilt blog land lately.
I hope you enjoy today's showcase.  I'm betting that with Quiltcon West now over, everyone is going to become really productive in the coming weeks.  Haven't you noticed that it always seems to happen right after any big show.

Whatever your Sunday activities brings, I hope it is happy day for you.  It is supposed to be pleasant here (if you can call 50's in February pleasant....we do here ) so Sunshine and I will be out again this afternoon knocking on doors so she can get closer to her Girl Scout cookie sales goal.  Wish her luck.
